Vasilis Moiras is a Global Service Solution and Portfolio Manager at Siemens Mobility GmbH Munich, Germany. Vasilis belongs to the Service Management team of the Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) department. His areas of expertise include Digital Service Transformation and Business Model Innovation in the field of Urban and Interurban Traffic Management. He is also responsible for managing the performance of the Service Business of the ITS department in various countries around the world.
Previously he was leading the Service Business of the Mobility Division at Siemens in Greece, where he was managing a 35-personnel team Operating and Maintaining the Traffic Signaling and Management System of Athens and Thessaloniki. He has started his career as a Software Engineer at Siemens Greece, where he was responsible for the Software Development for urban traffic controllers.
Vasilis holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a MSc in Control and Information Systems from the University of Duisburg-Essen and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He speaks Greek, English and German.
Vasilis’s favorite hobbies are Photography and Aikido. He is married and has a daughter and a son.
