The MBA International is partnering with the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE) for the 9th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium, set to take place in Athens, at the Maroussi Plaza Centre, on 22-24 May 2024.
As the Greek energy market evolves, there’s a pressing need for restructuring to accommodate a surge in a new RES portfolio with extensive solar and wind power, interconnections, along with new applications such as offshore wind and green hydrogen. This new portfolio will drive investments towards a net-zero era while prioritizing ESG principles and fostering a just transition in lignite areas. Innovation hubs and initiatives further catalyze decarbonization efforts, shaping a sustainable energy future for Greece. This progression not only bolsters energy security but also paves the way to transform Greece into an energy hub, enhancing Greece’s position in the regional energy market.
Speakers
The most notable representatives of the energy sector will enrich the Symposium’s Plenary Sessions. Influential thought-leaders, government officials, heads from non-governmental organizations and leading companies will all be there. The confirmed plenary speakers up to now can be found here.
Innovation Day
HAEE is proud to announce the introduction of Innovation Energy Day as a special feature during this year’s Symposium. In response to the ever-evolving landscape of ideas and technologies, the event will host presentations of innovative technologies, breakthrough ideas and visionary projects that will shape the future of energy.
The Agenda will be announced soon.
Venue
The Symposium will take place at Maroussi Plaza Centre, an innovative space in the suburb of Amarousion that once housed the famous Village Center cinemas. In recent years, it has become a point of broader reference as it hosts a conference center with event halls.
