New cost-free training for SMEs in Athens: Discover how design-driven innovation can become the key to improve you competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability.
Following the successful implementation of the Design-driven Innovation training for SMEs at the EIT Headquarters in Budapest a few months ago, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is co-organising together with the European Commission a new training in Athens, Greece, on the 21st of June, 09:30-16:30, at the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
This training, which is under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), is hosted by the MBA International Program of the Athens University of Economics and Business.
Design-driven-innovation is not a formal tip adding appeal to products and services – it involves the use of traditional and new materials, of new production tools and processes and of innovative approaches to better meet customers’ needs. Design is a new point of view about the product/service. It is the key to success for European enterprises. The training program focuses on design as the key feature in the strategies to develop a SME in the global market of today.
The course will provide the participants with a meaningful view of the benefits and the opportunities of design-driven innovation, with presentations, case studies and team work in one full day. During the training, participants will learn and experience:
The benefits of Strategic Design for SMEs
- Shaping your products through Customer-Centred Design
- What Design-Driven Innovation means
- Design Case Studies
- Teamwork on Design-Driven Innovation
- Teamwork on Strategic design for SMEs
In addition, during the training, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and its activities in boosting innovation and entrepreneurship at pan-European level.
The course will be held by design and business administration teachers from Milan Politecnico – among the best European universities in these fields. The target group is SMEs and SME intermediaries.
*The cost-free training is funded by the European Commission (DG GROW)
