This project analyses fees and commissions for banking services in the Greek banking sector. The methodology consists of comparing the price lists for services offered to corporate clients and professionals for nine leading banks operating in Greece. The price lists were collected and four categories of banking services were analyzed: sight accounts, checks, letters of guarantee and loans-financing. Using this public information, it was possible to gauge where Geniki Bank positions in relation to the competition. The goal of the analysis is to identify potential opportunities and to uncover gaps regarding the services Geniki Bank offers and the fees and commissions it charges in order to improve the profit margin and market position of the bank. Practical actions in this sense were proposed to the bank’s management.
