MoU signed between the MBA International and the German Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the MBA International, AUEB, and the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to strengthen the business, academic, and research ties between Greece and Germany. During the event for the signing of the MoU, which was held at the premises of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), the Rector of the University, Professor Vassilis Vasdekis, the Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth, Professor Nancy Pouloudi, the Director of the MBA International, Professor Klas Eric Soderquist, the Strategic Development and Internationalisation Advisor and Adjunct Professor of the Program, Dr. Emmanuel Alexandrakis, the General Director and Member of the Board of the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Ilja Nothnagel, and the Head of Trade Fairs at German  Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dimitrios Piperoudis, were present. This cooperation aims to connect the academic community with the market, support business missions and extroversion, and collaborate on research projects and events focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Rector of AUEB emphasized: “A key pillar for AUEB remains extroversion through the establishment of relationships and collaborations with distinguished organizations and chambers. With the aim of further developing the MBA International Program, we are signing today a Memorandum of Understanding on educational issues, exchange of knowledge, and entrepreneurial experience. We believe that with this new cooperation, we will bring our students into contact with a network of business leaders and entrepreneurs who will assist them in their future careers”.

The General Director and Member of the Board of the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated that: “With the MoU, both parties seal their strategic cooperation, aiming to offer today’s post-graduate students the opportunity to gain more academic as well as practical experience in areas of their interest, and for the companies – members of the Chamber to gain access to employees with specialized knowledge. During these times when the business community faces the serious challenge of filling thousands of vacancies in key sectors of the market, the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry insists on strategically investing in education, supporting its members’ efforts to staff their companies with the appropriate human resources”.
