On Thursday, 17^th of October, MBA International welcomed Mr. Makis Antypas, co-founder and CIO of Viva Wallet group, for the 1^st C-Suite lecture of this academic year. Mr. Antypas was hosted by Prof. Alexandros Papalexandris in the Business Strategy course and presented the success story of how a Greek software house became one of the highest valued FinTech companies in Europe! Along with the company’s vision and direction, and the European FinTech landscape, Mr. Antypas also presented significant milestones in the company’s strategy, business practices and the ‘secret sauce’ of disrupting and leading the competition.

Mr. Makis Antypas is Co-founder of Viva Payments SA, Chief Information Officer and board member of the Viva Wallet Group, leading the company’s Technology Division. He holds an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Sheffield and a BSc in Industrial Management from the University of Piraeus. He is a  senior IT professional, with over 18 years of experience in implementing large-scale transactional systems for the banking, retail, ticketing, and electronic commerce industries across Europe. Mr. Antypas also contributed to the previous i-MBA Scope which was devoted to the impact of digitalization in business.
