On October 21st, 2023, the MBA International organized an interactive Seminar on the topic “Mastering the Art of Communication”, at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, exclusively for i-MBA students. The seminar was conducted by Mrs. Evy Poumpouras, Former U.S Secret Service Agent, National Security Journalist (CNN, NBC, MSNBC and other), Corporate Trainer, International Speaker, and Best-Selling Author. Her book “Becoming Bulletproof: Protect Yourself, Read People, Influence Situations, Live Fearlessly”, has been translated into five languages. She is awarded with the Secret Service Medal of Valor: Bestowed for heroic acts on 9/11.
The event was welcomed by the Director of the MBA International, Professor Eric Soderquist, and was attended by more than 80 students. The seminar aimed to train participants in how to communicate effectively, build trust, and read people to maximize their impact in any challenging situations. Mrs. Poumpouras focused on the ethos of communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, and exchanged views with participants on managing difficult situations in the professional sector.
On October 23rd, 2023, the i-MBA Alumni Association, with the support of the MBA International organised an Executive Alumni Seminar conducted by Mrs. Evy Poumpouras, on the topic “The Ethos of Leadership: Building Your Human Brand”, open exclusively to i-MBA graduates, at the premises of the Athens University of Economics and Business.
The seminar was focused on “Building Your Human Brand: How People See You. The two Most Important Qualities of a Leader” stressing the elements of cognitive capability and “warm” behavior and “Managing Behavior: Adopting the Interpersonal Behavior Wheels and Minimizing Conflict”, underlining the importance of leaders to stay on the Good Wheel and adapt to other’s behavior. Evy Poumpouras shared examples of her professional experience and how she managed difficult situations and discussed with the graduates of the Program how to grow and mature as leaders in challenging times. Moreover, on October 24th,2023 the faculty of the Program had the opportunity to attend a seminar by Mrs Evy Poumpouras on “Mastering the Art of Effective Teaching”.
