George is a Global Sales Operational Excellence Manager, at Jacobs Douwe Egberts International HQ in Amsterdam, where he leads the implementation of OpEx commercial strategy program across various geographies of JDE. He promotes local leadership & on-going development as business and commercial expert advising on business improvement, sales & revenue management, customer planning and prioritization. He is centred on short to medium term financial opportunity development, and adoption of the OPEX Way of Working from local teams. He has travelled in many EU countries but also lived in Brazil & Singapore while in this role.
Having sales at heart, George has over 11 years of FMCG experience. He has previously held positions in Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, Sales & Marketing management in Greece, UK & Netherlands, while moving up the career ladder working for Kraft foods/Mondelez & JDE.
George completed his undergraduate studies in AUEB & the Department of Management Science and Technology in 2005.
He is a sports enthusiast that loves windsurfing, sailing in the Aegean and endurance sports. Triathlon & marathon racer himself, he is big supporter of fellow sportsmen & sportswomen that run for a cause.
