Serafim works for Ooredoo Qatar, the flagship company of a major multinational telecom group. He is directing a multi-cultural and multidiscipline team of ~100 people that are responsible for the end - to - end after sales experience of corporate customers. He is working closely with Sales, IT, Network, Delivery & Assurance departments, to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and high level of customer satisfaction. During his tenure in Ooredoo he has been leading key initiatives driving substantial structural, process and system improvements, towards the overall vision of the company for digital transformation and leadership of the regional B2B ICT market.
Before Ooredoo, Serafim had already been active in the telecom sector for about twenty years. Moreover, he was already recognized as a tech - entrepreneur with a leading role in several relevant innovative ventures. His most recent entrepreneurial activity has been the co-founding of Incelligent, a start-up providing advanced decision support tools for TelCo management, leveraging big data analytics and artificial intelligence. Earlier, he had been working for more than a decade as an advisor to leading telecom groups in Europe and Asia, mainly through another company he had co-founded.
In parallel to activities mentioned above, he has collaborated for many years with the academia, as a visiting / adjunct university lecturer and as an ICT domain expert in international research and innovation programs.
Serafim Kotrotsos is a graduate of the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (#1 engineering school in Greece). Post to his engineering degree he completed a PhD in the area of Management Information Systems for the Telecom Industry, many years before attending the International MBA program of Athens University of Business and Economics, which he completed with the highest distinction in his class.
In addition to his professional and academic achievements, Serafim has repeatedly served as a key person in different social, community and political groups and causes.
