On Wednesday, October 13, 2021 the 6th Annual Sustainability was successfully conducted which was jointly organized by the MBA International and CSE, the Center for Sustainability and Excellence. In the event, which was focusing on the theme “Carbon Neutrality in Greece: The New Goal towards a Circular Economy” welcome speeches were addressed from Professor Eric Soderquist, Director of MBA International of AUEB, Professor Vasilios Vasdekis, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Personnel of AUEB, Nikos Avlonas, President of Center for Sustainability & Excellence (CSE) and Visiting Professor on Sustainability at MBA International of AUEB and Konstantinos Aravossis, Secretary General of Natural Environment & Water, Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy.
In the event participated distinguished speakers such as Urs Brodman,, CEO, First Climate, Chrysanthi Berbati, Head of Group Planning, IR and ESG, Piraeus Bank, Eleni Andreadi, Group Director of Sustainability and CSR, Sani Resort and Theocharis Parisis, Group Head of Marketing, ALUMIL.
The i-MBA Sustainable Development and Circular Economy Club presented a new research project on the Circularity Rate Index. Moreover, during the event there were distributed distinctions to companies, NGOs and people that took significant initiatives on innovative environmental projects, Corporate Social Responsibility and Circular Economy during 2021. The distinctions were given to OTE Group, Hellenic Petroleum Group, MEGA, Disposables S.A, HALCOR, ENALEIA and Ms. Eftyxia Konstantinidou.
