Wishing to provide the opportunity to students with outstanding educational credentials and potential to attend the Program and advance their careers, i-MBA offers every year a number of scholarships to Full-time applicants.
Scholarships align with main pillars and focus points of the program, i.e., international orientation, support of innovation and entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and recognition of excellence.
For the academic year 2017-18 the following scholarships were offered:
- International Orientation: To attract international students with outstanding potential, the program offered 6 nationality based tuition scholarships to candidates from the Balkan region (2 scholarships), Africa (2 scholarships) and Russia (2 scholarships). Countries-regions of origin change every year, so as to achieve maximum diversity in the cohorts.
- Support of Innovation & Entrepreneurship: To support innovative ideas that have the potential of being developed to successful and impactful business, i-MBA has been supporting for several years entrepreneurial competitions, where these ideas take shape. This year the program supported CruiseInn -a 7-day startup creation hackathon that takes place on an actual cruise ship sailing around the Aegean Sea- by offering a tuition scholarship to a participant of the competition that reached the final stage. The recipient of the scholarship will attend the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Major of the Full-Time program. In addition, one tuition scholarship for same major of the Full-Time program was offered to the winner of the Social Growth competition, which aims to promote and support socially inclusive and sustainable social enterprises.
- Social Responsibility: in an effort to offer equal opportunities to candidates who are unable to self-fund their studies, i-MBA has been collaborating for the past 6 years with the NGO Equal Society – Society of Equal Opportunities, an independent non-governmental body that takes action against social exclusion, unemployment and poverty. Through the organization’s ‘Study with Scholarship‘ program, scholarship opportunities are offered to candidates who meet specific financial and social criteria. In the frame of this initiative, one tuition scholarship was offered to a candidate for the Full-Time program, based on academic, financial as well as social criteria.
- Recognition of Excellence: Aiming at attracting exceptional candidates from all over the world, i-MBA’ s Interdepartmental Steering Committee decided to offer tuition waiver equal to €3,000 to applicants for the Full-time program who obtain a GMAT score of 650 and above. The scholarships were open to all Full-time program applicants for the upcoming academic year.
